My daughter Lisa and I tourred Bali years ago in great style with 3 star hotel and private car and driver and it was reasonably priced. Skip the beaches and spend the time in Ubud seeing temples, dining in good restaurants, and even participating in a cremation ceremony.

Yes, Alice, that blog was aimed at a certain audience. Personally, I never would’ve done any of those things listed but I know some people would. I’ve been to Bali twice. Once was on Marriott points and for a week I paid a fraction of what one night would cost in one of the places listed. I should’ve asked to list the prices but I’m sure I would’ve received the usual response: If you must ask, you can’t afford it.
